Well, I'm not really sure what to put here but mushroom18 suggested I should update this damn rotting thing and I thought, why not?

I'm enjoying my FA classes in Kalayaan College very much. If my straight 1s in sculpture class is not proof enokough, then I don't know what is. I'm flaunting my geekiness and dorkiness in each and everyone of my classes. Heck, I made a wire sculpture of a jedi starfighter and made it function as a watch. artpaper said it was Obi-Wan's because of the redness of the copper although I was originally thinking of Anakin's when I was making it (hey, buying flexible yellow wires is costly!!!) -- and damn, my fingers hurt for days after I was finished.

We'll be having an exhibit in sculpture class as well, sometime this sem. It's an auction exhibit. We sell our stuff. Our prof said that if we mount our works, the value would increase. LOL.

I suddenly miss writing fics and stories though. Maybe because I'm in Fine Arts now not Lit? My English prof is pure terror although I kinda like her the way she is. She hates lates and we have a 7am class. Oh joy! I'm the only one who actually has energy every morning, saying "good morning!*sparkle*" to everyone. I'm spreading the virus so that they will all say "good morning" to people around them -- I've already infected one XD

As for the prof, she slammed my confidence in English right on the muddy floors and I suddenly feel like somebody who knew nothing about the English language. It's like, "how could I have written anything worthwhile in my life with this empty brain of mine?!?!?!" So now, I'm reviewing the basics of the basics of the English language: prepositions, sentence structures, clauses, phrases, etc. Oh well, I believe that it is good practice :)

On other academic classes, I love my history class, Kasaysayan I. Did you know that eons ago, gay marriages were in practice in the Philippines? One of the guys would dress up as a girl and they would marry that way, with a big blasting festival. On het issues, the guys would use this...er...thing (that people in this day and age would call a sex toy) for days so that they could assure that they would give the greatest pleasure to their wives. And on that matter, virginity was not important to the people in the old Philippines, they believed that it would hinder married life so they send their daughters to get *eherm* de-virginized. They had a man in the village for that role O_O

Of course, when the Spaniards came, that all changed. It was Christianity that stopped all that. They even went as far as to meddle with the people's sex positions, saying that only one position should be used (boy on top of girl - that's why it's called the missionary position). But you wonder, how in the world did those priests know what kind of positions the natives use? PERVERTS! PEEPING TOMS!!! PEEPING PRIESTS!!!!

But my passion for Philippine history is sparked. And that is not just because of those above XDXDXD

Anyway, with our loooooonnnnnggggg weekend (from Wednesday to Monday), I'm set to finish all my fa12 plates. Our prof vanished and left us with a big set of plates to do. He hasn't come back yet.

I just hope our sembreak doesn't get shortened because of all the class suspensions T_____T

I've actually been postponing posting this because things have been -- in the closest term possible -- HELL (and that is meant in all caps). But then, things have turned for the better -- and brighter -- nowadays so it now feels safe and shameless to post this :)

The tickets cost P160.00 for the orchestra and P110.00 for the balcony...but if you truly wish to watch and have no money to spare then just contact me. I can get you complimentary tickets :) I'm not sure how many I can get but if worst comes to worst, I can always sneak you in (cheat! XDXDXD)

So, just why in the world could I get complimentary tickets and sneak you in? Why in the world would I bother with a children's play? (But they're good)

BECAUSE...this is the first time that I've designed the ALL the costumes (okay, most -- the townspeople are costumes from a history book XD) for a play. I've always helped the plays before since my mother is the head costume supervisor. The one before this, I've designed a part of but this time, all of them are MINE...my precioussss XDXDXD

I didn't actually feel as proud of it as I should until the director told me (well, my mom) that he wanted to put my name as the costume designer in the playbill...but since the townsfolk aren't mine, that really isn't wholly true ^^; Still, I'm happy for the thought X3

But now, after the rehearsals and the Invitational Plays (on Jan 24 and 25 -- they're free but I was still so doubtful about inviting anyone...with all the costume problems and all), I can surely say that designing the costumes is nothing compared to what we (us three -- my mom, one of her coworkers and me) slaved through during that one week (yesterday marks the one week) of hell.

The costumes were delivered late and the quality was shit which was such a damn since they cost THOUSANDS. The fit was truly horrible. There was a lot of incomplete costumes and...augh...seeing the kids without their costumes...it felt so guilty...despite the fact that it was not my fault. If someone was willing to sue, I'd back him all the way *sigh*

I never imagined that plays could become like that. I was told that this was the first time something like that happened -- well, the undelivered costumes, especially when the play has started. AND I've had to adjust the fit with pins every time...but of course, getting frustrated is my mom's role. I just need to be calm -_-;

Anyway, just comment if you want to watch (obviously, you have to be here in the Phils), and I'll just meet you in the Theatre itself ^^ If you want complimentary tickets, just give me the date and I'll see if I can get you one ;P Don't count too much though. I can't keep on abusing that privilege. And if you wished to be snuck in, then please keep in mind that I can't do that if there's a handful of you ^^;

Oh, and if you want to meet the cast, that'll be on me too ;)

It's Valentine's Day and for some reason, I went into a shounen-ai craze and drew a few stuff. It's all work-safe because I cannot create anything that nears yaoi -- especially since my 8-year-old brother who goes to an all-boys school knows who the characters (Naruto and Sasuke) are and though I have no whims against him going gay...he's FRICKIN' 8 YEARS OLD. And I only have to ability to make cute things. It's a curse.

And yeah, since I've been silent in both my LJ and my communities, here I am with a bunch of shameless plugging XDXDXD

I thought I should put up a decent layout after I posted in kinonotabi (because Kino no Tabi's my current fandom XS) where I dropped off a dozen icons because it'll all go to waste with me -- I'll never use them *shrug*

And I figured I should tinker with my lj while I'm still in the mood.

Yes, call me geeky or whatever but I don't care!!! XDXDXDXD Mababaw kaligayahan ko!!! Masaya na ako sa lollipop, ice popsicle at ice cream!!! -- basta ala chocolate (eww).

Oh, and I got the gift certificates (they're 2 P500s) because I taught in Ateneo GS -- for their yearbook committee (I sacrificed my PE classes for that). If that's the prize every time I go and teach, I'd gladly do it everyday. Then go on a book-shopping spree in National.

I just wish they'd given me one from Fully-booked (did I get that right?) or Powerbooks next time XDXDXDXDXD

Oh well. Such is life. You can't really get what you want all the time ;)

I guess it's all because I don't have my blog up...or something like that...that I'm updating my LJ.

And it just so happens it's one of those days that I'm OC enough to twitch and fidget at the sight of my LJ. Thus, I made a sorta-kinda-medyo-may-pagka layout for this journal. On better (or worse) notes, everyone around me has been sprouting their own love lives. And they've been blabbing away their lives and problems to me on a daily basis. So far, yours truly has none (yes, mushroom18, NONE) and grateful for that. I don't think I can handle "hearing" myself worry about my own story when I have to carry others XDXDXD

I normally wouldn't update my LJ like this but my blog isn't up yet and I have nowhere to scream my pain and agony in...

Anyway, the one in that lj cut is actually done for my lit class...and it's supposed to be a reflection paper. Well, it still is in my view. I'm a person who hates using "I" in reflection papers or anything that people in front of me (or rather, people I don't quite trust yet) will read.

Hehehe...I had nothing to do so I made this. AdMU college life feels like a breeze. I'm not pressured at all T_____T

It's formatted as the start to a multichapter tale but it can stand on it's own -- as long as you don't ask too many questions. This was inspired by the illegal street vendors, scattered squatters and waiting beggars on the streets that I happened to pass once on my home from Los Baños (of course, that was in the Manila range) -- not the Ents from LOTR.

The first half had been read and re-read so it's the better part. The rest was just an inspiration from my English class which said not to count on inspiration because it is a damn unreliable thing (and through experience, yes, it's true). Oh, and I wanted to make the story some sort of fairytale or fable with a handful of realistic fiction mixed in.

Sure, I'm not really the type of person to "stray away from the light"...but I can't say that I'm "heaven" material. And well...I doubt anybody would be "overwhelmed by my beauty". I'm not a peaceful person either. No, I don't get myself involved in fights. In most situations, I don't bother involving myself in such because I believe that it's futile, immature and shallow.

But I love my wings :) and I would have to agree with my focus as well.

Looky! I got myself an annoying icon :D Well...maybe not for you guys...but after staring at it for so long...I finally got irritated at it ^^; I noticed that it makes my head hurt. Oh well, that's the whole point of my user icon XD

Why FMA? Because I love FMA!!!! Maybe not the anime, but the manga nonetheless (never seen the anime but I know a lot about it). I wanted to put Envy with the pictures shown...but alas! Misfortune has befallen on me! The avatar is larger than 40kb!!!!

Well...I got myself an lj.... Not because I really wanted to...but because I was curious. Most of my friends are in here.... And...me? I'm just tinkering with the layout. That's my life XD I just hope it looks okay.... I slept at 12 midnight just to get this working. And I find it amusing.
